Champagne Selection Sunday: Week Four – Picks, Lions, Teaser of the Week, & SNF
COVID is officially in the NFL and panic buttons are being pressed left and right. We don’t know who’s playing when, how it affects lines, and what the hell this means for fantasy. But hell or high water, I’m here to provide you picks on this Sunday’s slate no matter what 2020-event we’re dealing with, so let’s waste no time and just get right into it.
ARIZONA -3 @ Carolina. 1:05pm EST. Arizona is embarrassed having lost at home to the Lions last week, and Kyler Murry leaves no room for doubt after throwing 3 picks to the worst defense in football in week three. Carolina is still riding high off their first win of the year last week (versus a rookie QB), and can’t replicate the magic at home this week. Arizona wins. Final: Arizona 31, Carolina 17.
DALLAS -3 vs Cleveland. 1:05pm EST. This line is a little fishy but it’s on of those where I’m telling myself not to overthink it. I heard on the radio Cleveland is 2-1 for the first time since like 2011, I wonder when the last time they were 3-1 was? And when they got their third win was on the road in Dallas vs a desperate Cowboys team? Cowboys take care of business at home. Final: Dallas 27, Cleveland 20
SEATTLE -5.5 @ Miami. 1:05pm EST. Russell Wilson is having on of those absolutely magical seasons. He’s got the eye of the Tiger and nothing is going to stop him. We have another incredibly fishy line here but we have front-runner MVP and the high flying Seattle offense flying into lowly Miami on the Dolphins short week. Don’t overthink this one, and throw the whole west coast east coast thing out the window again today. Seattle wins. Seattle 34, Miami 26
TEASER OF THE THE WEEK.
I am running late for an early morning Sunday tee time, so I am keeping these pretty short. For this weeks TOTW I am simply just taking the two extremely favored teams this week and making their point total a little more manageable. RAMS -6 vs NY Giants + RAVENS -6.5 vs Football Team (lmao what idiots). Both of these teams are super good coming off embarrassing and/or gut-wrenching losses. They get opponents this week that are currently the bunching bag of the NFL, and take advantage of it. Both these teams ROLL at home.
Sunday Night Football Pick.
SAN FRAN -7 vs Philly. 8:30pm EST. SF has treated me well all year, no matter who they have in the lineup. There is zero reason to change that philosophy now, especially at home vs the horrific-looking Eagles. There is no reason for me to believe Philly has a chance to hang in this game, outside of the line just being a complete trap. A desperate Philly team puts up a fight early, but ultimately falls. Final: San Fran 27, Philly 19.
Our Lions.
The Lions, riding extremely high off of their first win in eleven (11) months, come home from Zona to host the Saints who find themselves in un-chartered territory. They have lost two games straight in prime-time and find themselves looking from the bottom up in the NFC South. The Lions are exactly what the doctor ordered this week to bounce back. While I would absolutely love to take the Lions this week and have them move to 2-2, I just am really having a hard time seeing a world where this Lions team is 2-2, and that Saints team is 3-1, and the Lions having dictated that outcome. Saints come into Detroit and win in a hard fought game. Final: Saints 36, Lions 31
Good luck this weekend team.
