Lions HC Matt Patricia Disappoints In This Year’s Annual NFL Coaches Photo

Last Updated: March 26, 2019By

Well the long awaited photo is finally here- the 2019 NFL Head Coaches picture was taken sometime yesterday (I think) at the Biltmore hotel in Arizona. Now I didn’t even know this picture was a thing until last year when rookie Lions head coach Matt Patricia absolutely fucking ripped it. Barstool posted the photo and captioned it “Matt Patricia out here lookin’ like a muh fuckin’ SNACK.” And I have been thinking about it ever since it was posted. Here is our boy in all his glory back just one short year ago.

Uhh YEP. Yum. The only question after seeing that picture is deciding whether or not his new name is Snack Patricia or Matt Thicctricia.

And here’s the whole thing for reference:

He thicc. He chonk. He everything we needed him to be. And at this point in his career he was undefeated. Sure he was 0-0 but he and the 2018 Lions were undefeated and everyone was hosing themselves down in Kool-Aid for the upcoming season so anything the former Patriots’ DC did was fine by us.

Fast #forward to 2019. The Lions went 6-10 during that 2018 campaign in on of the most nauseating seasons we’ve seen in a long time. Now faces are sour on Patricia especially after treating the media like shit and whispers came out about a broken locker room, then then he does this:

Womp womp.

Tough look. Dead center, completely overshadowed by King Andy Reid, who went with shorts and a Hawaiian themed Chiefs polo. Not that Matty P is at a complete loss here, he still is chonk and went with a very elegant black tee shirt under his muted colored button down. But last year’s picture angle and beachy-bowling-shirt outfit choice did a lot more favors for Matt than this year’s approach. Last year we got a taste of a guy who looked like he had a leading role in the Sopranos, this year we get Andy Reid’s 6 and 10 shadow.

Chalk it up as another L for the Leo’s. But it’s almost draft day so soon we will all be drowning in Kool-Aid in preparation for 2019. #forward 🍾
