Michiganders, Stop Bitching At Kelly Stafford Cause She’s Loaded & Living In LA Now
Last night Kelly Stafford made a post on Instagram promoting some affluent private airport suite service that her and Matthew stayed in because they are, or are soon to be, Los Angeles residents.
In addition to being (or almost being) LA residents, they are loaded. No two ways about it. Matthew Stafford being a top-end QB in the NFL for 12+ years now has made him and his family quite a bit of coin. At one point he was the highest paid player in NFL history. It’s normal. He’s legit a professional athlete in the most popular league in America.
Kelly, his wife, who has a very strong and dedicated Instagram following, from time to time will make posts promoting businesses…sometimes she gets paid, sometimes, like during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she does it out of the goodness of her heart to support small, struggling businesses. She did it a ton in recent months for plenty of Michigan-based businesses. And she’s made it clear, for literal years, that the ads she does get paid for she donates to struggling families around Xmas time.
Well, in Kelly’s latest post promoting this luxury suite airport ordeal in LA, the comments from angry suburban Michigan have started to flood in.
Tough look, Michigan. Stafford’s have given away millions of dollars and put a decade’s+ worth of philanthropic work/donations into the State of Michigan and the City of Detroit in their time here. They literally just donated a million dollars to SAY Detroit only a few weeks ago. They didn’t have to do any of this, they don’t owe us, the state, or city anything. This is the definition of ‘no good deed goes unpunished.’ But the transition is happening, Michigan. They are now going to LA, where Matthew will the starting quarterback of their Super Bowl contending team. You will probably start to see more caviar than coney dogs, Veuve will trump Vernors and they’re going to choose private luxury airport suite’scapes or whatever over the Knights Inn off Jefferson.
I mean hey, I get it. I get jealous of people having more money than me all the time. I was effected by COVID-19 just like many Michiganders and Americans were. I lost salary, I lost my place of work, I lost a ton of co-workers. But to turn on an extremely generous and loyal (now ex) Michigan family just because they got cash and do boujee-ass shit in LA now is just a really unfortunate look for the suburban middle-aged Midwestern folk of the Great Lakes State.
Kelly and Matthew’s life ain’t designed for you. If you wished they went to Apple Bee’s for $5 margaritas and preferred the 24th row of Spirit Airlines over champagne on their private jet- you’re living in an alternate reality.
There have been thousands of millionaire athlete’s in this city who didn’t give a dollar back to this community and didn’t lose a minute of sleep over it. They’ve given a ton. Let them live and/or just unfollow her if you can’t handle successful people living successful lives.
Go Rams. Go Stafford’s. Go Lions. #forward 🍾
