Punk Teenage Little Shit from Boston has no idea how good he has it
So before I did any research on this cocky little can’t-even-legally-drive-yet fuck boy I was planning on going on a complete rant of how lucky this kid is and how he doesn’t even realize how good he has it. But it turns out this kid was already made famous by Barstool’s KFC. I recommend that link click- it’s a funny read. Apparently this kid has been doing this for years, with the same non-smile, smug look on his face.

And just like it did for KFC of Barstool (@KFCBarstool), it really set me back at how many championships that really is. 10. By the age of 15. I thought I was KILLING it at age 11 with 3 Stanley Cup championships- which normal standards is pretty bad ass.
But since then, we have seen the Piston’s snag one (2004) and the Wings again. Bringing my personal total to 5 ships at age 26. This kid has double the champions with just over a decade less time on earth….plus he has every single major sport covered. Detroit is so Wings-heavy it hurts.
Then it hit me, we’re pushing at almost a DECADE without a champion in Detroit. With our last two sniffs in the finals coming up lame (’09 Red Wings, ’12 Tigers- lol fuckin sweeeeeeeep).
What’s funny is how fast everything can just CHANGE. Pistons and Wings used to be absolute power houses, and the Tigers seemed like a shoe in for at least ONE World Series championship from 2006-2013, now it feels like we’re dealing with a passed their prime all-star softball team (I low key still have faith they could be sick this year, but that “Best Team in Baseball” preseason feeling has been vacant for some time now). And the Lions, well, they like almost beat Dallas in the playoffs one year.
Dope.
I, like many Detroit fans, am craving a champion in Detroit. But lately, (9 years) the champagne has run dry and right now we look desperately far from one in every single sport- unless these Tigers can surprise us this year.
But hey- They are trying to bring an MLS team here. So maybe they are the light at the end of our championship-less tunnel.
God that is a depressing thought. 🍾
